On the Linear Combinations of Slanted Half-Plane Harmonic Mappings

‎In this paper,  the sufficient conditions for the linear combinations of slanted half-plane harmonic mappings to be univalent and convex in the direction of $(-gamma) $ are studied. Our result improves some recent works. Furthermore, a illustrative example and imagine domains of the linear combinations satisfying the desired conditions are enumerated.

Alternative Empirical Distributions Based on Weighted Linear Combinations of Order Statistics

A class of empirical distributions is introduced which are based on various weighted linear combinations of order statistics, and which have convergence properties the classical empirical distribution does not, or which stochastically or convexly dominate the classical empirical distribution. In estimating an unknown probability distribution F based on a sequence of iid observations XI, X2, . ....

Pitman Closest Estimators Based on Convex Linear Combinations of Two Contiguous Order Statistics

Comparisons of best linear unbiased estimatorswith someother prominent estimators have been carried out over the last six decades since the ground breaking work of Lloyd [13]; see Arnold et al. [1] and David and Nagaraja [9] for elaborate details in this regard. Recently, Pitman closeness comparison of order statistics as estimators for population parameters, such as medians and quantiles, and ...
